Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements to run the worksheets?
Some of the models contain multiple worksheets inside a workbook and therefore you must have MS Excel version 5 or greater. You can determine your version of Excel by selecting Help, About Excel from the Excel main menu. The Excel 2007 Version of the Meal Calorie Planner and Progress Chart will only work with Excel 2007.

Do I need to be a computer tech or accountant to use the worksheets?

No. Every effort has been made to simplify what you need to enter into the worksheets, reduce the need to find values on some external reference source, and make all of the calculations for you. You just need to create your plan and follow it.

All weights are entered as pounds and converted into kilograms where necessary.

Do I need anything other than Fat Loss Tools to create my fat loss program?

If you understand the basic fat loss principles espoused by Tom Venuto in his e-book Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle you should immediately understand the benefit of my Fat Loss Tools. These tools will save you hours each and every week and help you to achieve your fat loss goals.

If all you want to do is document what your current eating habits and understand the macronutrient ratios of your meals this is by far the simplest and easy method to use.

The Meal Calorie Planner may tell you the weight of a food item for your meal. You should have a food scale to make certain you eat the proper food item portion.

The Goal Weight Progress Chart requires that you enter the Illiac skinfold thickness as measured in millimeters. So you will need a measuring tool. I purchased my “Accu Measure” product from my local fitness equipment store for about $25.00. The “Accu Measure” product can also be purchased on-line.

Does the Meal Calorie Planner come in multiple languages?
  Sorry, but it does not.

Why do I get a “Security Warning” when I open the Meal Calorie Planner?
The Meal Calorie Planner contains some Excel macros that make your planner easier and Excel is warning you about the macros. If you select Tools, Options, Security, Macro Security in Excel you will be able to set Excel to the particular macro security level that you prefer.
